The open E note is a loud pluck, and play that last Am chord
close to the bridge of the guitar and get that tinny, stiff
sound.
 
Actually, my strumming patterns are approximations; go with
whatever you hear or whatever strumming pattern sounds best.  Enjoy...

It's a great tab, well done. The only thing I disagree with though is the Em in the verse, I think it's just supposed to be Am, G until the choruses.

Yeah I have to agree about the Em thing. nice tab man. Lennon was taken too soon,he had the balls to speak the truth in his songs which has become a rarity these days.
