by using open notes that are not followed by a note on that string means you have to immediately mute that string before the next note is played. Thus, making it much more difficult, not easier, because you have to be muting strings constantly. and then to compound things further, you DON'T utilize the open strings in the last few bars where it MAKES SENSE to use them. 10th fret on E string is the OPEN D string, as you can see it makes sense here to use them not where you did.
