Intro: Cm A#
Cm A# G# D# (2 times)
Verse 1:
Cm A#
I'll say it straight and plain:
G#
I know I've made mistakes,
D#
I've always been afraid,
D#6 Cm
I've always been afraid.
A#
A thousand nights or more
G#
I travelled east and north,
D#
Please answer the door.
D#
Can you tell me?
Chorus:
Cm A# G#
You say that love goes anywhere,
Cm A# G#
In your darkest time it's just enough to know it's there.
Cm A# G#
When you go, I'll let you be,
Cm A# G#
But you're killing everything in me.
Verse 2:
Get down on your knees,
Whisper what I need,
Something pretty,
Something pretty.
I feel that when I'm old,
I'll look at you and know
The world was beautiful.
Then you tell me...
[Repeat chorus]
Bridge:
Fm G#
I'm done, there's nothing left to show,
Cm
I try but I can't let go.
A#
Are you happy where you're standing still?
Fm
Do you really want the sugar pill?
G#
I'll wake up tomorrow and I'll start,
Cm
To another it feels so hard.
A#
As a train approaches, getting on,
Fm
As I'm sure your kiss remains employed,
G#
Am I only dreaming?
[Repeat chorus]
Cm A# G#
When you go, I'll let you be...
Cm A# G#
But you're killing everything in me...
*** I recommend you to use the "F A# D# G# C F" tuning, so it'll be easier to play the song ***
That's all!

Dude, I really dont get your tabbing style. Might you be able to actually make a legend or something showing what the actual chords are? That would be a great help and would make it much easier to play. I'm not familiar with ALL the chords, thats why I'm asking this! I would rate if I knew exactly how to play it. Thanks!

Ok, gotcha, thanks 4 your comment. I'll put an alternative tuning, you're right: it will be easier to play. =)

Hi! Thanks for these chords, they were very helpful but I modified them slightly and I wanted to share my version but didn't think it warranted a new tab (since it is based on your chords)
First, I play this song tuned half-step down. Most songs off this album are actually played that way, and it just fits my voice better so I prefer it.
That makes the chords [tab]C#m[/tab] [tab]B[/tab] [tab]A[/tab] [tab]E[/tab]
I prefer to play the song with all open chords, because I think it sounds better so then the chords would look like this:
e|----0----|
B|----0----|
G|----6----|
D|----6----|
A|----4----|
E|----X----|
e|----0----|
B|----0----|
G|----4----|
D|----4----|
A|----2----|
E|----X----|
A(sus2)
e|----0----|
B|----0----|
G|----2----|
D|----2----|
A|----0----|
E|----0----|
e|----0----|
B|----0----|
G|----2----|
D|----2----|
A|----1----|
E|----0----|
And in the bridge change F#m to Asus2 and A to B. It is really easy to play this way and I think it sounds great!
Thanks Vivi!
