Jimmy also performs it in an open G tuning.....DGDGBD....and the chords all corelate to the open G tuning. There are a couple of decent lessons on youtube...
But this TAB works well for normal tuning

I have never done one of these so I am hesitant to comment. I think some of your lyrics are different from the Jimmy Buffett versions I have heard. He says “I have sprung a few leaks” instead of “smoked a few reefs”. I think the very last line is different in his version also.
