How Do You Keep The Music Playing Cifras
por James Ingram feat. Patti Austin9.739 views, adicionada aos favoritos 214 times
This is the David Foster arrangement of the James ingram and Patti Austin recording. Note that the chords are more dissonant at each verse then the chord allows. For example, the Dbmaj9 is actually a Dbmaj7/C, so the C is up against the Db. Same goes for almost all verses and transitions. LOTs of other voicings, too hard to notate. The in between parts are mostly walkdowns during the sections where the chord augment but have some bass note. I hope someone can help correct. The #9#5 chord notes are notated for reference. Hope this helps.Esta informação foi útil?

You’re awesome and YES please correct!! I’m a bit lazy and completely self taught so it’s hard for me to hear things. I welcome it all!!
+1

Wow, that is a lot of good work analyzing those chords. Especially if you realize the tuning of the original recording (from the days of analog tape) is somewhere in between the keys of C and Db on YouTube and Spotify, LOL... On some spots I see/hear some things that might be improved. Would you mind if I take a look and edit? I will make sure I don't mess up your fine work... I have an idea: I could put a link to my personal edit here before publishing to UG. Greetings
