These are the chords phrasings that sound best to me in the Verse / Interlude:

In the Chorus, go for the Standard chord shapes,
A/C# being x47650 (or, maybe easier, x42220, or a regular A for easier playability)
 
I think in the vocal melody Andrew often walks down from the D to C#,
being the fourth and third of the A-chord respectively.
If you want to mimic this, you can change from Asus4 to A on "learning", "burning", "past", "blast" and such.
