I believe the most prominent part of the accompaniment is actually a mandolin, but
that is the part I was trying to emulate when I made this tab. This sounds the
most like the recording that I can come up with, unless you want to learn the
mandolin, and have someone else play guitar.

Playing the song in Capo II E or Capo IV in D is the same thing.. Whichever chords are easier. And Em7 no E7 and everything is okay. That's music theory for you.

I play the E7 as an A Major. Sounds great. And I play the G in the verses open like this... X

I always play the A7sus4 immediately followed by a plain A7 and it sounds great
