[Intro]
Bm

[Verse 1]
Bm D G D
I live in a nameless town,
Bm D G
No need to wander around.
Bm D G D
I live in a nameless town,
F# G Bm
In a black out.

[Verse 2]
Bm D G D
Many friends have said goodbye,
Bm D G
Paraded out in one proud line,
Bm D G D
I say they all just lost their minds.
F# G Bm

[Verse 3]
Bm D G D
Midnight where we used to dance,
Bm D G
Underneath the ugly halogen lamps,
Bm D G D
Oh, it all went away so fast,
F# G Bm
In a black out.

[Bridge]
Bm G Em
We’ll wait for the year,
         D G
When the tide comes,
F# G D
Rolling over the rails.
     G Em
From here to the end,
       D G
Of the i---sland,
F# G D
Washing away.

[Interlude]
Bm D G D Bm D G

[Verse 4]
         Bm D G D
I rent a room with all our stuff,
         Bm D G
When you come home I lift you up.
            Bm D G D
And there’s only the two of us,
F# G Bm
In a black out.

[Verse 5]
Bm D G D
Now you’re sleeping in the back,
     Bm D G
Of a speed----ing yellow cab,
Bm D G D G D G D Bm
Throw a kiss goodbye to all of that.

It's much easier to play with a capo on three. The chords would just be transposed as Am C F C with an E thrown in for the chorus/bridge thing. They also use Travis picking throughout the song transitioning between the root note of the chord and a lower bass note on another string.

I'm new to the electric guitar world. Could delay be used effectively and if so, how do I set it at the right speed?
