Hey whatsup, this is an amazing acoustic song by Good Charlotte. The strumming is very
easy to pick on. Some of the chords may look pretty weird, but that’s what they are.
I’m positive this is totally right. Thanks, I hope you like it.

Verse 1:
     Em7add9 D* Dsus C2
Hey dad, I’m writing to you
Em7add9 D* Dsus C2
Not to tell you that I still hate you
Em7add9 D* Dsus C2
Just to ask you how you feel
              C2
And how we fell apart
           C2 (stop)
How this fell apart.

          Em7add9 D* Dsus C2
Are you happy out there in this great wide world
       Em7add9 D* Dsus C2
Do you think about your sons do you miss your little girl
           Em7add9 D* Dsus C2
When you lay your head down how do you sleep at night
         Em7add9 D* Dsus C2
Do you even wonder if we’re alright?
              C2
But we’re alright, we’re alright

Chorus:
              G
Its been a long road without you by my side
C2
Why weren’t you there all the nights that we cried
     G
You broke my mother’s heart you broke your children for life
     C2
Its not ok but we’re alright
     G
I remember the days you were a hero in my eyes
     C2
But those are just a long lost memory of mine
          G
I spent so many years learning how to survive
        C2

Now I’m writing just to let you know we’re still alive. (stop)

Verse 2:
     Em7add9 D* Dsus C2
The days I spent so cold so hungry
      Em7add9 D* Dsus C2
Were full of hate I was so angry
     Em7add9 D* Dsus C2
The scars run deep inside this tattooed body
         Em7add9 D* Dsus C2
There’s things I’ll take to my grave
          C2
But I’m ok I’m okayyy

Chorus

Bridge:
      Am7 Cm G Gmaj7
And sometimes I forgive
         Am7 Cm G G7/F
Yellin' this time I’ll admit
          Am7 Cm
That I miss you said I miss yooooouuuu

Chorus

Just so you know, in the lyrics that come with the cd, it's i'll amit, not i'll let live, and secondly, GC is awesome so like he said, all these little kids that listen to backstreet boys songs, get outta here 'cause i have yet to hear a backstreet boys song with any good guitar, and if you listen to that crap, you most likely can't play a guitar anyways, so stay outta here.(and obviously you like GC or you wouldn't go to a song like emotionless to make fun of them, you'd go to lifestyles)
