TURN THE BEAT AROUND - Gloria Estefan
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tabbed by: ephemeral_style
Tuning: Standard
OK, I'm really sorry if it isn't perfect, it's my first tab!
I play the F sharp as a powerchord, which is on the second fret, E string if you don't
your notes (YOU SHOULD!!!)
CHORUS:
F# Em D
Turn the beat around
D Em F#
Love to hear the percussion
F# Em D
Turn it upside down
D Em F#
Love to hear the percussion
D Em
Love to hear it
F# Em
Blow horns you sure sound pretty
F# Em
Your violins keep movin' to the nitty gritty
F# Em
When you hear the scratch of the guitars scratchin'
F# Em
Then you'll know that rhythm carries all the action, so
CHORUS (see above)
F# Em
Flute player play your flute 'cause
F# Em
I know that you want to get your thing off
F# Em
But you see I've made up my mind about it
F# Em
It's got to be the rhythm, no doubt about it, woah woah
BRIDGE THING:
F#
'Cause when the guitar player start playing
Em
With the syncopated rhythm, with the scratch, scratch, scratch
F# Em
Makes me wanna move my body yeah, yeah, yeah
F#
And when the drummer starts beating that beat
Em
He nails that beat with the syncopated rhythm
F# F# F# F# F#
Em
With the rat, tat, tat, tat, tat, tat on the drums, hey
CHORUS x2

The progression should be F#m, E, D and the reverse. Played with the root on the fifth string, it sounds accurate.
