| B | B7 | E | B7 |

[Verse 1]
E G#7 C#m
Ain't no use to sit and wonder why, babe,
A E B7
 It don't matter anyhow.
E G#7 C#m
Ain't no use to sit and wonder why, babe,
F#7 B7
If you don't know by now.
E E7
When your rooster crows at the break of dawn,
A F#7
Look out your window, baby, I'll be gone.
E G#7 C#m B A A#dim
You're the reason I'll be traveling on.
B B7 E B7
Don't think twice, it's all right.

| B | B7 | E | B7 |

[Verse 2]
E G#7 C#m
Ain't no use in turning on your light, babe,
A B7
 The light I never knowed.
E G#7 C#m
Ain't no use in turning on your light, babe,
F#7 B7
I'm on the dark side of the road.
E E7
Still I wish there was something you would do or say,
A F#7
Trying to make me make my mind up and stay.
E G#7 C#m B A A#dim
We never did too much talking anyway.
B B7 E B7
Don't think twice, it's all right.

[Verse 3]
E G#7 C#m
Ain't no use in calling out my name, babe,
A B7
 Like you never did before.
E G#7 C#m
Ain't no use in calling out my name, babe,
F#7 B7
Lord, I can't hear you anymore.
E E7
I'm thinking and wondering all the way down the road.
A F#7
 I once loved a woman, a child I'm told.
E G#7 C#m B A A#dim
Gave her my heart, but she wanted my soul.
B B7 E B7
Don't think twice, it's all right.

So I'll just say fare thee well.

Clapton uses pretty much the same as Dylan's version but
different words.

Good tab, but I think the E in the line “it don’t matter anyhow” should be an A

Great job love this version, Clapton at his peak in that live Dylan concert. Small points but to my ear, I would make the chord after A#dim an E with a B in the bass, E/B. Instead of the B7 which is coming soon (on "twice"). I also hear him augment the 5th on the last B7 before the verse comes him, B7+5 (we call it "the oh darling chord")
