I play it capo third fret - A/A, A/G, D/F# for the verses - you can pick out the intro lick as notated here from the A and G positions

I'm 99% sure this is the intro lick (and used in the rest of the song) - I think it's played on an acoustic 12-string. You can just hear the octave strings on the 1st two notes of the lick (on the G-String) and not on following group of notes.
