Just updating my original version from 2008 to be in line with latest formats. Having played around with it for over 10 years, I would still go with E as the root chord as the bass line flows much better when picking out during the chorus. Why not just put a capo on 1? why detune a semitone then capo on 2?

I've played it with the E root and with the A root. First, better for the chords, second, better for the voice (damn it). But watching an acoustic set from Mossy, he's playing it in F#, with some very funky chord shapes.
