[Verse 2]
You've gone to the finest school all right, Miss Lonely
But you know you only used to get juiced in it
And nobody has ever taught you how to live on the street
And now you find out you're gonna have to get used to it
You said you'd never compromise
With the mystery tramp, but now you realize
He's not selling any alibis
As you stare into the vacuum of his eyes
And ask him do you want to make a deal?
[Chorus]
C F/C G
How does it feel
How does it feel
To be on your own
With no direction home
Like a complete unknown
Like a rolling stone?
[Verse 2]
You never turned around to see the frowns on the jugglers and the clowns
When they all come down and did tricks for you
You never understood that it ain't no good
You shouldn't let other people get your kicks for you
You used to ride on the chrome horse with your diplomat
Who carried on his shoulder a Siamese cat
Ain't it hard when you discover that
He really wasn't where it's at
After he took from you everything he could steal.
[Verse 3]
Princess on the steeple and all the pretty people
They're drinkin', thinkin' that they got it made
Exchanging all kinds of precious gifts and things
But you'd better lift your diamond ring, you'd better pawn it babe
You used to be so amused
At Napoleon in rags and the language that he used
Go to him now, he calls you, you can't refuse
When you got nothing, you got nothing to lose
You're invisible now, you got no secrets to conceal.

Like A Rolling Stone – Bob Dylan
How to play
"Like A Rolling Stone"

it is Dminor 7 for sure long live rock...
the eminor is interesting...
it is because the bass goes C D E F G (for the verse)
which is why it has that build up feel
the guitar does return to C (as opposed to e minor which is slightly of key)
If you are playing solo and still want that feel of going up the scale
play a C/E
where it says eminor...
Because it definitely is not eminor...the guitar is on c...the bass e...its a mixture of the two
e0
B1
G0
D2
A-
E-
Well done for the guitar licks though...no one ever bothers with those
+1

sounds good to me

its interesting about the em... i agree with the last comment that the chord is a C/E. but ive always played it like this.
e -0
B -1
G -0
D -2
A -2
E -0
the Dm should also be Dm7 so that there is a C note in the chord... i always play it so that the B string is fretted at the 1st fret for the first 4 chords (C Dm7 C/E? F) like this:
C Dm7 C/E? F
e -0 e -1 e -0 e -1
B -1 B -1 B -1 B -1
G -0 G -2 G -0 G -2
D -2 D -0 D -2 D -3
A -3 A -x A -2 A -3
E -x E -x E -0 E -1
