Note that the "F# G G#" is a single note walk-up played on the low E string.
All chords are played with a swinging cowboy rhythm where you play an alternating
bass line that is root then 5th. Even though my tab only shows you playing the top four notes of
the chords, you should always finger the whole chord and let the accidental notes ring. I showed this as
ghost notes.
I have included a small chord chart at the beginning showing that bass line for any beginners.
I am not good at tabbing rythms so that is on you to learn.
Suggestions welcome.
An amazing song and so fun to play.

[Verse 1]
E
In the cold early morning in the hills of Kentucky
D B7
I woke to the sound of the rain
E
And the girl from last evening laid silently sleeping
B7 E F# G G#
Though I could not remember her name
A
My head was a pounding and the sweat poured
E B7
Around me like the faucet that she left on high
E A
With a chip on my shoulder I'm another day older
E B7 E
And I swear I could break down and cry
[Verse 2]
E
I Never once made a dollar, which I didn’t gamble
D B7
Or scramble to burn at both ends
E
I’ve raged all night long, in the hour beforе dawn
B7 E F# G G#
On spirits and bitters and blends
A
What’s left of my day might bе crimson or
E B7
Grey but never again black and white
E A
With a chip on my shoulder I'm another day older
E B7 E
And I swear I could break down and cry
[Verse 3]
E
I'm a fool with my money and I'm a fool with
D B7
My drinking I'm sinking to bottom of the well
E
Adding fuel to the fire like my wildest desire
B7 E F# G G#
Is to spend the next lifetime in hell
A
I could cruise down to Hades, in a
E B7
Snow white Mercedes and a devilish look in my eye
E A
With a chip on my shoulder I'm another day older
E B7 E
And I swear I could break down and cry
[Verse 4]
E
There's a hard place on one side and a
D B7
Rock on the other, no corners to cut in this maze
E
Only one way to do it, just to grin and bear through it
B7 E F# G G#
I've been drinking up the courage for days
A
So I’ll drain every cup and keep stacking them up
E B7
Till the sun stumbles out of the sky
E A
With a chip on my shoulder I'm another day older
E B7 E F# G G#
And I swear I could break down and cry
[Outro]
A
I’ll keep on this way till my dying day
E B7
It’s a blessing I’ve tried to disguise
E A
With a chip on my shoulder I'm another day older
E B7 E
And I swear I could break down and cry

Great tab with a couple of corrections:
"And I swear.." sounds more like a B than B7 and it comes closer to "break down". B7 sounds right everywhere else.
There is a walk up of F# G G# into A going into the outro. Then goes back to E on "It's a Blessing" and there is an E at "with a chip on my shoudler" This seems self explanatory, just thinking of new players looking at this may not pick up on it.
Thanks for posting the work of the legend in the making, BMFS

Fair enough...admittedly I relied on UG to provide proper lyrics! I have corrected. Rock on.
