In this Tab, wherever there is a G/C written, it needs to be a C to a C/G. C/G and G/C are completely different chords. So, in the first line of the first verse for example, you can hear him first play the C bass note when singing "a-gain" The C is played as he sings the syllable 'gain'. And then Benjamin keeps that C chord shape, but lifts his finger of that bass C and plays the G bass note with it, which is written as C/G. Have a listen to the song and you will hear it.
