are you sure this is played in drop d tuning??

Lots of confusion about drop D tuning..... OK you could play this in drop D if you wanted to. Tune your thick E string down from E to D now you will find the shape of your power chords (rooted on the now D string) has changed to a bar covering the D A and D strings. Easier to play maybe but it will sound much the same. I think this is how a banjo is tuned but I may be wrong. Oh and one more thing, its best not to try and work out any guitar stuff from music videos as the guitar is not actually being played

Just one more thing on drop D tuning. Unless you are used to playing in drop D or plan on playing in it a lot I wouldn't bother. Although in theory it sould be easier, if you have learned to play in standard tuning it isn't
