I racked my ears trying to learn this for a student. I think there are a lot more semi-tone shifts than listed above. Each time we get to the end of the verse, I think it should be:
F# G G#
Everybody knows who's really cool
F# G G#
I also don't think the verse goes A# - A#m - G#. I'm hearing it as a semitone shift down:
A# G#
You know that I'm the coolest that's ever come around
A# Am G#
You'll notice things get hotter whenever I'm in town
I'm honestly not hearing much major or minor in the guitar chords in general; I think tonality is often coming from the piano.
