D G D A
What a Friend we have in Jesus, All our sins and griefs to bear!
D G D A D
What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!
A D G D A
O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear,

All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer!

Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere?
D G D A D
We should never be discouraged, take it to the Lord in prayer.
A D G D A
Can we find a friend so faithful who will all our sorrows share?

Jesus know our every weakness, take it to the Lord in prayer.

On the Precious Memories album the first verse and chorus are in C# or play capo on first fret and stay in the key of C. Then in the second verse and chorus they go a half setup up. Thanks.

Hi. On third line of each verse there is a D7 after D (forfeit/faithful/forsake thee)
